Funny you should mention Bolton’s danger to Trump. I just said, after watching a news piece this afternoon, that I wouldn’t want John Bolton as an enemy. I can’t stand the guy, but he’s formidable. Trump makes the mistake of creating enemies out of friends too often to be a political survivor. Then he sabotages himself further by underestimating them. It’s going to be one of his many significant downfalls.

Bolton will defend the power of the executive branch. I think that’s a correct assumption. But he may now feel the person of Donald Trump has weakened and damaged the executive powers. Woe to Trump.

The old war hawk could not have taken Trump’s insults kindly. Payback, as they say, is a… well, terrible.
