I don’t think older men love the single life as much as older women do. It seems most older men who are divorced or widowed want another partner. I have many friends who solo camp and go to all-women camp-outs. Those gals are having a blast.

Imagine my surprise to find when we get older it’s men looking for wives — while women aren’t looking for anyone. I’m 68 and the tables really turn as we age. If something happened to my husband, I wouldn’t be remotely interested in having another man.

I think old men are looking for someone to take care of them in their old age. No, thanks.
