I Finally Made It!
After 2 years and a lot of work and engagement, I’ll finally make over $100 this month.
Oh, bless my soul, I’m going to make it into the $100 club this month, but I’m not going to say it was easy. It took quite a bit of work and commitment. That’s my truth. It was hard.
There are those here who say they made their first $100 month easily and quickly, but that wasn’t true for me. I have been on this platform for about two years and never cleared $100 until now. But I didn’t try hard enough for the first year, although I thought I was doing what was necessary.
I learned in my second year on Medium there’s more to do than write a few stories and throw them out there, thinking I’ll be rewarded. The competition here is fierce, and to do well, you must be not only skillful but determined and have loads of patience.
I can tell those who are still trying to make at least $100 here, it’s my opinion it isn’t easy — except for maybe a few extra-talented and terribly committed writers who began making money almost immediately. It happens, but I’ve come to believe that is not the experience of most of us. It sure wasn’t mine.
I don’t know how anyone who writes here as a hobby and only writes every once in a while does well. But a lot of people do — a lot easier…
