The 2026 Elections are over a year away.

Considering the last seven months, we may not HAVE an election.

(Update: As of Monday morning (this morning, August 11), Trump announced he was taking over Washington, DC’s law enforcement. Upset because a DOGE kid (the one who calls himself Big Balls) was allegedly beaten by a gang, apparently (or looking for an excuse, Trump is turning the feds and the National Guard loose to “help” the capital’s police department.)

And woe to citizens when he takes over our civilian police. They’ve already had police helping ICE in some areas. Police are legally civilians, hired and directly working for local and state governments; but since the 1980s — the beginning of the militarization of civilian police — the police themselves have not recognized or understood they are civilians and localized entities pay them to protect the people in their jurisdictions. Most are hired by city and county governments, the local governments — the closest relationship to the people , the government responsible for the police and for providing law enforcement protection to the citizens.

That’s where their loyalties should lie.

But they’ve been moving closer to militarization for years, and the rank and file truly do not understand that the military takes over and occupies a city in a foreign country after fighting and defeating the enemy. The soldier, as representative of the conquering nation, therefore becomes the law in occupied lands. The military…
